Faces of Freedom Flag

Faces of Freedom Flag is a non-profit organization created by artist Michele Dawn. A native Californian born in Hollywood, her passion for color and creativity, partnered with love of country and patriotism made this project a must.

Faces of Freedom Flag

We are constructing a monument to our living, fighting troops in the form of an American flag consisting of thousands of individual photos of the men and women of the armed forces in the field, at work or during R&R (rest and relaxation). This is our attempt to say:

"We appreciate you. We support your efforts and sacrifices."

How You Can Help

  • If you are a member of the armed forces (or a family member, friend or colleague of one), submit your photo here.

  • If you are a supporter of our troops:
    • You can sponsor a spot in the flag for a service member, as well as provide a message of support for our troops which will be displayed on the back of the photo of one of our service members.  This message will be seen by everyone who sees the flag in person or online.
    • The funds raised to create this flag monument will be used to support the families of troops here at home.  These young families often need help with diapers, formula, food, utility bills and other basic necessities of life. We will use your contribution to either provide gift cards and in-kind help directly, or through cash contributions to existing non-profit organizations, which already help the families of troops.
    • Click here to make a contribution and to submit your message and photo spot sponsorship here for the troops to be displayed on this historic flag monument to the living troops.
